Smoother and younger looking skin is now achievable with our experienced and fully qualified team.
Our facial aesthetic team at The Dental Centre Bedford are pleased to announce that Dermal filler facial restorations are now available from our practice.
As we age, lines and wrinkles gradually appear on the face and neck, and the signs of ageing are usually accompanied by other symptoms such as thinning of the lips, as well as sagging cheeks and jowls.
Whilst some lifestyle elements such as a healthy diet, regular exercise and not smoking can help in reducing the effects of ageing on the face, as well as using moisturiser daily, facial ageing is still inevitable. But we can help you!
We offer our patients a range of safe and effective facial filler restoration treatments using approved dermal fillers applied by our fully-qualified team.
What are dermal filler facial restorations?
Essentially, these facial aesthetic treatments at our Bedford dental centre involve the injection of medically-approved fillers to reduce signs of ageing effects. Quick, easy and relatively painless to administer, dermal filler facial restorations are typically delivered within 15-60 minutes and have long-lasting benefits and effects. Our patients are delighted to see younger looking skin as a result.
What problems can dermal facial filler restorations treat?
It’s important to point out that dermal facial filler restorations are used to treat the natural signs of ageing, mainly around the face. These facial aesthetic treatments are not permanent, although they can offer long-lasting results.
Many of our patients are unhappy with crow’s feet around the eyes, sagging cheeks and jowls, wrinkles around the general face area, as well as looking tired or older. Our team of facial aesthetic experts can guide and advise you.
What are the risks of using dermal fillers?
No dermal filler facial treatments are given to patients at The Dental Centre Bedford until a medical assessment has taken place to determine a patient’s suitability. The safety and comfort of our patients is our paramount concern. We only use medically-approved dermal fillers, and our team are all fully-qualified facial aesthetic experts, to ensure complete patient satisfaction.
How many different types of dermal filler facial products are there?
Here at our Bedford dental practice, our team use four tried-and-tested dermal filler facial products, and these have all been medically approved for some time by independent medical health boards in the USA and UK.
The four main dermal filler facial products that we recommend and use are:
Juvederm is used mainly to restore the facial contours, helping to reduce the signs of facial ageing. It can be used for a variety of facial improvements, including the lips, cheeks and the mouth. The treatment is administered via an injection and takes between 15 and 60 minutes for most patients.
Restylane is another hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler facial restoration product that we use, and a treatment will typically take less than an hour. After the injection, patients usually start to see results almost immediately, with full results usually being visible in around two weeks.
Recovery from Restylane injections will vary with each patient, but minimal downtime is usual, with only a small percentage of patients experiencing swelling or redness. This will usually subside within 24 hours, whilst most of our patients can return to work straight away following a Restylane dermal filler treatment.
Perfectha is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler which produces natural and long-lasting results. It is often recommended for correcting fine, medium or deep facial wrinkles and also volume loss due to the natural ageing process. Perfectha helps to restore both volume and fullness of the skin, helping to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, cheek and lip volume.
It is a long lasting treatment, and patients may find that the results last for up to 18 months.
Teosyal is effective, safe and long lasting, offering patients almost immediate and long lasting results. It helps to maintain the skin’s elasticity and also minimises the risk of hypersensitive reactions. It has been used in the UK since 2005 so is a well established treatment.
